Tabu Shabu

Went on a Sunday night. Seating is bar style. Lots of ways to customize your order, very friendly staff. Noodles for the soup and rice to eat with the meats and veggies. Really like the individual pots and burners. Tried the pork broth. Between the three of us we had pork, rib eye, lamb, and shrimp. All very tasty cooked in the broth. Finished it off with the soup.

Fun, tasty, healthy place for dinner! Just got to introduce my friend to it, and now she is also hooked! Since the items are mostly prepared in advance, you get your food quickly, and there are so many options, most folks will find what makes them (and their tummies) happy.

I think I probably didn’t order the right kind of meat - I picked the first one from the menu, angus beef toro belly, which was too fatty for me and it’s quite thick. Texture wise, it’s not tender but chewy. This was very different than what I expected. I can taste the meat quality is good and fresh though. I had the tonkotsu broth, it was light not very rich. I enjoyed the vegetables, they are fresh and tasty with the broth. They have bar seats for everyone, and they cleaned throughly before next person sits. Thumbs up.
