Very casual and homey spot. Fried shrimp, Mac n cheese, salad was great. Included a drink for $12. Big portions. Great prices for the amount of food. Nice and helpful employees. (Go up to front counter to order and pay, then they bring your food to your table.) If/when we come back to Jacksonville, will definitely come back to Sweet Mama’s!

It was okay. I may try them again. Perhaps they were having an off day. The oxtails I got today weren't nearly as good as Soul Food Bistro.

Many blessings to the Sweet Mama and the fam! I rolled in this evening and ordered the baked chicken wings, lima beans and Mac n cheese. LeMMee tell youu! The flavor on those beans! Was lip smacking good, perfectly cooked and seasoned, as was everything else. The chicken was so tender it was just melting off the bones, even the bones had flavor! And I'm super skeptical about peoples baked Mac n cheese bc my Aunty is one of the best to ever do it, but Sweet Mama must've gotten the same recipe passed down bc it was slamming and jamming. I might have taken all but ten minutes to eat all of these healthy portions i was provided. I came in starving and left fuller than a muh. I want a slice a cake but that's probably O.D. I might have ta do it though! Ijs! Oo and the honey biscuits, gwud lawwd! The staff was family on sight, you know the vibes. The pineapple juice was straight ????! I digress.
