Sweet Basil Italiano

Second time at Sweet Basil. Both visits were great. Friendly service (Jason tonight) generous and yummy portions. Garlic knots a bonus!

Honestly, I think their problem is with consistency and pleasant staff. Perhaps it is a "European" vs. American cultural difference, but each time I've stopped by to carry out food, I'm shocked at how cold and even unfriendly the dark haired girl behind the counter is. The older man seems just as unfriendly and cold... even "gruff". I like the high quality food, but the two cold and distant people should step back and let the friendly servicers be the face of the operation. I'm not going to buy your delicious food if I feel like I'm annoying or bothering you. There are a few of great Italian places in the area. I kept "trying again", thinking that it was just a bad day... but every time I'm in, they are rude(just the one girl with crisp part in her smooth black hair, and the older gentleman). The tall server with glasses seems really on point, and tge girl with long brown hair pulled back was SUPER friendly. I wish I had waited to tip for my carry out until the end, I'd have just give

Yum yum!! Thier homemade italian salad dressing is the perfect amount of sweet and savory. Super tasty! Both dishes we tried were delicious but those clams were seriously on point. Garlic and butter and deliciousness. Their garlic knots are always great and are served dripping with olive oil to dip them in. And then we topped it off with the chocolate mousse cake.....oh em gee! Talk about a proper mousse cake. The chocolate was super decadent and went really well with the strawberries they served it with. Delicious. Plus the inside of the restaurant is really cute!
