This was my first time experiencing African food. The food here was good so no complaints there. I do not like that they automatically add 18% gratuity to your bill no matter your party size. I had a party of 2. The waitress was not particularly friendly. She wasn't rude but she was not friendly either. She was not welcoming and at one point made me feel like she was irritated that I asked her for something again after I had already asked and she had not brought it yet. Also after we paid our bill, we were sitting at the table plotting our next move and she came over taking away plates and drinks. I was actually still sipping on my drink. Sometimes people don't leave immediately after paying. Give me a couple of minutes to get myself together. Plus the place was practically empty so it's not like they needed the table right away. Visiting my sister in MD , who absolutely love the place and wanted me to try it. I wasn’t disappointed the food was good the staff was friendly and the Friday night atmosphere was energetic felt like I was in an African movie. I had fried goat with spinach yum!. My sister had fish which looked and tasted really good also. A must visit for a different dining experience if your ever in Maryland.
So far the best Kenyan restaurant I’ve been to so far felt like home. The food is amazing, staff was friendly and the vibe was warm and sweet. Definitely planning another trip.
