Sushi Enya Pasadena

This is the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to in LA. There is the best uni and sweet shrimp, they have Santa barbara uni and janpanese uni, I personally prefer Santa Barbara uni which is big and sweet. The staffs are nice and always refill my drink without my reminder, the fish roe&uni bowl is my favorite food since I don’t really like fish roe until I have been here. However, I don’t recommend omakase at the bar where you can’t order rolls, also it can not make me feel full and more expensive than eating at the regular table. The bar is a good place for dating cuz there is a good and romantic atmosphere of eating. Not enough if you only come for food like me.????

The quality of sushi, hand rolls, and special rolls was very good. We were very impressed with the taste of the food. Unfortunately we were also “impressed” with the service we got there. Our waitress got the order wrong. We thought we were kind enough to keep the first sushi plate and paid for the extra shrimp sushi. But the following sushi orders also got messed up. When we reminded her we didn’t get our uni sushi, she said she already served. We careful went through our memories and pictures, and even showed her the pictures we took of the sushi plates, no uni pieces. She refused to admit it. I was insulted when she pointed out it must be on the side of the plate not included in the picture! That’s ridiculous reasoning! I took pictures of your pricey sushi because I loved it, not to omit some pieces and argue with you later! Although they did serve us the uni sushi at the end, my enjoyment of the food was gone. This place is fun. When you walk it you're greeted by the entire staff. All the servers are very nice. We tried so many different sashimi and rolls here and they were all fantastic. My favorite roll was the 911. They have a great selection of saki and some awesome beers I've never seen before. They had no problem seating a party of 6, we waited less than 15 mins on a weekend night. Great place for sushi, I will be coming here again.
