An incredible downtown Birmingham gem located walking distance from UAB Hilton downtown. Had a colleague recommend Surin West and it did not disappoint. The bar service was attentive, friendly and warm. I enjoyed every single dish I even had 2 orders of the crab angels because they were so good! The blue dolphin tini was sweet yet tasty, the bar tender even gave me a little extra to top me off after I had a few sips! If you’re in the downtown Birmingham area you definitely need to stop by. Although I didn’t try any of the Thai dishes those also came highly recommended. The restaurant wasn’t super packed for a Thursday evening so give Surin West a try!!!
The food was tasty, reasonably priced, and presented beautifully. The atmosphere low-key and relaxing. Our server (and all the service we received) was well-attuned to our family’s needs. Our waiter’s attention to our children helped bring out their best manners - thank you for “seeing” them!
We have been here many times and always find the service very good and the food great. The location is very convenient in Southside of Bham and the facility is always well maintained and clean. All the dishes Ive had have been good but Im stuck on the chicken noodle bowl. Absolutely bursting with flavor and with that creamy lemony coconut sauce. We will definitely be going back, one of our favorites! Urban Cowgill
