Sugar Mamas exceeded my expectations!! The food was fire, customer service was awesome, and overall just a great experience. This is a small takeout spot, so taking a few mins to read ahead to learn about the process helped - call in to pre-order your food, and bring a mask to wear inside for pick-up. If there’s a few people waiting inside already, wait outside until folks come out. Not difficult, kinda common sense. I waited a few mins on hold to place my order (worth it). The woman taking my order was kind enough to recommend some other dishes when what I planned to order wasn’t available. We ended up with the French toast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese; the pancake platter with turkey bacon; chicken (tenders) and French toast, and chicken tenders and fries. EVERYTHING was delicious, but the standouts for me were the French toast (covered in sugary goodness), the home fries (seasoned to perfection and crispy), and the French toast sandwich (I didn’t partake, it looked amazing a

Sugar Mama's satisfied my breakfast platter cravings and imagination. The food and service definitely lives up to recommendations I received. The restaurant opened on time. Mind you, vehicles were pulling up before 9:00 AM. When the door opened a line formed immediately and those inside and outside were rather congenial. Customers were from diverse backgrounds and were smiling. Staff were welcoming and very pleasant. Pretty upbeat and happy atmosphere. The server taking orders offered food options, which I was thankful for. I was told my platter would be ready in 25 minutes and as promised it was. Food portions were very generous. The french toast texture and flavor were just right. Yummy! In fact, every item on my platters (eggs, sausage, home fries, grits) was excellent. I had wondered about the grits, but the texture was absolutely gritsy-soft, not too watery or hard. Loved them! I will definitely revisit. I would surely recommend Sugar Mama's. Great place food is the best around too me. Everything is made to order and made old school and how granny made it. The costumer service is great. If you not from Baltimore this is the place to go if u want Baltimore native dishes.. 5 stars hands down see your Saturday
