Straw Hat Pizza

I was surprised at how clean the restaurant was. The salad bar was beautiful. The food was good and so was the service. Vegetarian options: Great salad bar. Of course they have veggie pizza. Kid-friendliness: They had video games.

I heard such great things about this place and how they use to rule the 80s. However, I was truly disappointed and appalled by their customer service and food performance. For starters, the pizza looked really good when it was brought out, however, it was so hard and dry it sounded like a piece of cardboard. There was barely any red sauce on the pizza to alleviate the dryness and it's overall blandness. The pizza was so hard it literally hurt my teeth when I took the first bite. When I told the woman behind the counter about it, she immediately got angry and yelled, "We are known for our hard crust pizza, and if you don't like it you can leave," I'm sure the crust is supposed to be slightly crunchy, but not dry and HARD. Might I also add, no where in the restaurant does it state the crust is rock HARD. She yelled at me like some kind of animal when I requested a refund, before flat out refusing to give me one. The staff and owners are very friendly and attentive, respectful is an understatement. Very relaxed, nice and cool with couch like seating ,or chairs if you want. I like to go there and have a nice fresh salad from the salad bar and a personal pizza with 2 toppings and a glass of iced tea. By the end of lunch I usually feel more relaxed and satiated. Highly recommend a visit. Parking: Lots of available parking.
