We drove in from out of town and decided to eat in Utica for a nice dining experience. Our other option would have been Ruth Chris' but Utica provided great patio space. They sat us at the only table without a table cloth. The food is NOT French cuisine. It may have been a French restaurant at one point but the art on the walls and the menu express nothing of the kind. The owner desperately needs to decide what their vision is so that if we think we're getting a French experience, that actually occurs. The food was quite bland. I ended up mainly eating French fries. The menu doesn't quite match the flair of the nice white linen table cloths that we didn't have the luxury of receiving. Our waitress was great. My husband was called honey and babe several times though. Most of all, the dress code was pretty relaxed...and the girls were not....slim. The one with the fishnet hose bent over and my husband almost vomited his bland food into his plate as he was exposed to a cellulite delight.

Horrible service. I was the person at the bar at 2pm, bartender was too busy talking to notice a customer so I got passed by twice. Finally got a drink, which seemed like a chore to her. Two other groups came to the bar and promptly got their drink and food orders taken while I waited 15-20 without so much as a nod as she passed me at least 5 times. Quickly tossed a bill to cover the drink and left. Will not be back

The horse may need to be put out to pasture. We tried the date and chorizo appetizer ($12) that was ho hum. Then my husband had the lamb chops ($40) which were undercooked, while I had the special Maine Lobster in Thai Curry ($35) that luckily had some gulf shrimp as the lobster was chewy. We decided to pay our bill and run, only to discover another $8 added to the bill as "kitchen dinner appreciation" ??? The hostess claimed she had no idea what that charge was for... she acted embarrassed, as were we for choosing this restaurant
