Great place to eat!! Excellent selection of bourbons and delicious burgers made with fresh local ingredients. I had the Black and Blue with fries and my wife had the 'Merican with onion rings. Both were cooked perfectly and the sides were hot and not greasy. Definitely a must for us every time we come to Knoxville!!
We arrived tonight before a show we were going to at the Tennessee Theatre and they said the wait was 15-30 minutes unless we wanted to sit at the bar. Fortunately there were 2 seats at the bar so we were able to be seated quickly. We ordered shortly afterward and got our food within a reasonable time frame. I ordered the Shroom Burger and my husband got the Steakhouse burger. I got the onion rings and he got fries. You get like 5 onion rings and a ginormous pile of fries when you order them as the side. We ate our burgers and the onion rings and less than half of the fries. We both ordered our burgers medium but realized we should have ordered them medium well since they actually were medium. Ha. Usually we order the lesser option because most places over cook their meat. It was good and the bartenders were nice and service was pretty quick.
This location was suggested to us as a stop for a day-trip date. The food was pretty good, but we ordered some special items that just didn’t live up to the hype. Like many specialist burger places, they put too much stock in some element (like their special bread) and if it falls flat it detracts from the whole experience. That effort took this down from being.5 stars.
