What a great local restaurant! We stumbled on Stella quite by accident while shopping in Town Square. The atmosphere and decor convinced us to walk in and give it a try. The hostess started things off on a very positive note, her infectious enthusiasm setting the tone for what would follow! Everyone was friendly, attentive and the vibe was very happy. Chef Giorgio is a gem, the PERFECT Chef for this authentic, local eatery! Stella accomplishes it all; ambiance, atmosphere, people, menu, quality, everything! We are so happy to have this excellent option here in Southlake, and predict big things for this little Italian restaurant!
Stella, where have you been all my life? I am in love. Homemade pasta! I had the Penne Vodka and ate everything! Incredible desserts! The Pavlova is legendary! 5-star service.
Don't often write reviews, but as an absolute foodie who enjoys cooking and eating Italian food, wanted to. The atmosphere of Stella's is very upbeat, pretty loud, not a place for a quiet date night. The service we had was very good considering it was a Saturday night and very crowded. The food we ordered did not live up to the hype of being "authentic" and "delicious." The Rucola & Parmigiano was fresh, dressed nicely. The Spaghetti Carbonara was swimming in sauce and soupy! Carbonara is supposed to be light and creamy, and you should be able to taste some saltiness from quality pancetta or guanciale. The only thing you were able to taste was cheese and it was way too much. The Tagliatelle Bolognese di Mamma was just tasteless and made up of basically big chunks of ground meat and tomato sauce. In Italian cooking the water you boil the pasta is supposed to taste like the "sea" which adds a depth of flavor to the pasta so that it doesn't just taste like a wet noodle! The only
