Our first time here and last. Hard and cold pork ribs. The beef ribs were ok, nothing to go home and talk about. The service was really nice but good service in a restaurant does not justify paying for poorly cooked or tasting food. I did get offered a new cut but I was not impressed with the taste or flavors of any of the food so I said no. The best food in El Paso will probably be from a friend’s home cooking. People who care about the quality of their food will make an effort to supervise their kitchen a lot better.
So I got the smoked peppered turkey sandwich with beans and coleslaw, each of my party got the marbled brisket sandwich, the pulled pork baked potato and the 5 meat combo. The turkey was delicious and just moist enough not to be dry. The coleslaw was okay but not what I'm used to. The beans just a bit bland and needed more slow cooked juice. Comments from the rest of my party included, baked potato was a bit dry, the 5 meat dish was scrumptious and the marbled brisket sandwich was smoky and super tender. Two of us got the peach cobbler ala mode. It wasn't my Mom's peach cobbler but it was okay. They also have side door liquor store attached and my buddy found a bottle of whiskey for a gift that he hasn't found in the last three cities we have been in. Each of us got a Stateline BBQ t-shirt as well. Staff including waitress, barmaid and manager were friendly. I'd go back to try a different dish.
Atmosphere is great love the courtyard live music series on Thursdays for a few weeks. Food was good but not as good as I remember!
