Star House Chinese Restaurant

This is the best lemon chicken that I have had in years! The husband and wife owners that work there are so sweet… They made it very clear to me not to microwave this tomorrow. In order to keep it crispy they separate everything. Chicken, rice, and sauce. The lemon sauce is not too sweet… It is just perfect! I ate one whole breast before I took this picture. So this is only 2/3 of what you get in an order. Love it! My new favorite Chinese place! Haven’t had Chinese like this since New York City or San Francisco..!!!

This place was pretty good! I ordered sweet and sour chicken and the house special pan friend noodles. I gave a four star review instead of five because the food was good but nothing special and I don’t eat Chinese often so when I do I like it to be top notch! The pan fried noodles weren’t crispy at all and were on the thicker side.. not what I am used to having when I order pan fried noodles. Otherwise a decent place.

We ordered this today because our normal place was closed on Monday. I must say I am incredibly disappointed. The gyoza did not appear to be coked through the pork was a very light pink color (indicating not cooked all the way through). The fried rice probably had about 3 pieces of small egg in an entire half platter. And the rice was white, indicating that is mixed together after everything was cooked and not cooked with everything. The sweet and sour pork was soggy. All of the dipping sauces seemed watered down and were rather tasteless. Literally water added to them as they did not have the right consistency. We tried it, but we will never be back. Incredibly disappointed for the amount of money we were charged. Will not be back. The salt and pepper wings were plain, bland and nothing but crunch with very little actual meat in them.
