Squire's has been one of the go-to places my coworkers and I order from during our grueling 12 hour weekend shifts. The food is consistently good. There is a wide array on the menu ranging from pizza (World renowned pizza may I add) and great italian dishes, as well as the staples found in most sub shops. And the restaurant is a place I am proud to take my lady friends, its always clean and there is never anyone creating a ruckus. I highly recommend both the carry out and the dining room. This establishment has become a Baltimore institution.
I wish they did not change their sauce. The pizza still good but when I was a kid, Squires was a contender for one of the best pizzas in Maryland until they change their sauce I feel like they know this because I’m not the only person who has voiced it. Like Squires and Pizza johns were the best two pizzas I’ve ever had. Just wish they could go back to the old ways but they’re probably at a business the place they got their sauce from where they changed it to save money which if they did sad because they’re sauce is amazing.
The Good: We were seated quickly, and our waitress was very pleasant and nice. The establishment was clean and comfortable. The Bad: I've heard great things about Squires which is why I was surprised that my pizza was just "fine." My wife ordered the chicken cacciatore and she also described it as "fine." This is highly disappointing because of a $60 price tag (granted my son had food, too), it definitely was not, at all, worth it. As a matter of fact, the more I think about it, the more I got ripped off. The quality was just not good. I can make a pizza of the same quality at home. Just get some flatbread, marinara sauce, cheese, etc. and you can make the same pizza at home. There is nothing special about the pizza here. For the gravy fries, it tasted like the gravy came from a can. Judgment: Overall, I don't recommend this place at all.
