Oh my goodness. This place is my newest obsession. Barbeque can be so expensive these days and most places I always feel like I'm being ripped off. That is definitely not the case with this place! The prices are super reasonable for the amount of food and the quality of the food. Personally, I loved the brisket sandwich plate. One thing that really sets this place apart is that they bring around fresh rolls - straight out of the oven. You also get free bluebell ice cream too!
I have been eating at various locations since 1990's. Food is consistently very good. As a senior citizen, trying to have a not too large lunch for a price that doesn't break the bank is hard. My main complaint is paying over $5 for okra that is too large for me too even eat all of, but is one of the healthiest veggies they serve and I need. I live in Denison and when in Dallas area am doing other things and not going home soon. My suggestion to offer a smaller portion was not taken well by the District Manager. They don,t even have senior discounts. Maybe they could get a little more business during those slow hours which is when I go by offering senior citizen specials or pricing. It is so dead at those times. A small lunch with a small okra and tea would be a lot more palatable at the $14.00 +tea than the $21.00 I paid. I could come a lot more often. Vegetarian options: Not enough healthy options
I ordered the 3-meat combination for $20.85 on Doordash. I chose St. Louis ribs, Carolina Style Pulled pork, chopped brisket, with fries and rolls. Each roll on Doordash will cost you 40 cents extra. Let's start with negatives of the meal and then move to positives of the meal. The ribs were tasteless and had no detectable seasoning. The Carolina Style pulled pork had a weird taste to it, because of the sauce on it but no real seasoning or flavor. I wish the sauce was on the side so I could decide whether to use it or not. The meat portions were ridiculously small for the price. The chopped brisket had barbecue sauce on it, already I believe, and it was okay tasting. I have definitely eaten better, succelent brisket. I wish they hadn't put sauce on the brisket either. The fries were small but delicious and the rolls were delicious as well. Unfortunately, the rolls didn't come with butter, which I believe they should have. Overall, meat wise I would steer clear of here unless you have n
