I enjoyed my entire dining experience! I ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits were bit different than traditional. These had a heavy flavorful gravy, which wasn’t bad. We also ordered mimosas we got the carafe (4 servings) instead of the individual glass. The mimosa wasn’t that strong, but I didn’t too much mind. Oh and the complimentary biscuits and corn bread were superb, I’m still having dreams about them. So delicious. I enjoyed my dining experience and would return.
Service was friendly and attentive. No dress code. Reservations a must. I did not know valet was only $2. Valet pointed me to self-parking, $8, when asked if it was complimentary. Smh, disappointing. My own fault. From Maryland, I should have not ordered the She-crab soup. Taste like evaporated milk with plenty of Old Bay, with a dollop of crab. Tourist food. The fried green tomatoes were to die for .... and I'm dying. Yuk. Nasty. Deplorable. Goat cheese, and I love goat cheese, goat cheese is layered between the tomato and fried crust. Nope. Not a fan.
Service was attentive and excellent. Food was not amazing, but still good. She-crab soup was too salty for my taste and the olive oil didn't hit right for me. Crab cake was chocked full of crab and delicious. I wish there was hollandaise sauce to go with it. Salad served with the crab cake was delicious (and I usually don't like salads)! The most amazing thing I had was the complimentary biscuits and cornbread they served with in-house peach jam and whipped butter. That itself makes me want to go back for more.
