I love Sorrento and I have missed it so much. There are not many Italian-American restaurants in the Twin Cities area and Sorrento has meant so much to my family and me. When our kids were little, we would sit in the restaurant in the NorthStar and laugh as they'd get pasta all over their nice clothes. We had so much fun! The virus ruined a lot of this fun but I'm so glad to see that Sorrento found another location (tucked behind the US Bank building on 5th and 2nd). The food is outstanding -- fresh, tasty, fun -- and the service is quick. Love this place! Vegetarian options: Penne Rosa, other pasta and vegetarian options fill the menu. Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't love spaghetti and meatballs? I am just so happy this place is open in a skyway location. Covid has done so many bad things -- millions got sick, many restaurants closed, etc. - but this place endures.
This is not fine dining, just a lunch place in the sky way. Huge portions for a reasonable price...
A classic staple! My go-to in the skyway. Family owned and operated, you can just taste it!!! Delicious authentic Italian.
