Sonny's BBQ was a short walk from our hotel. We were staying at Residence Inn by Mariott. We ordered smoked wings, grill cheese with mac & cheese as our side. Prices are reasonable and portions were great! Service was top-notch!
The waiters in Sonny's BBQ are really incompetent. My friends and I have been looking for a BBQ for a long time. The results are really bad. We are Chinese. The waiter didn't even say hello to me when we came in. She smiles at other Americans and rolls her eyes. We only have to find a place by ourselves. She doesn't use knives and forks. This waiter is discriminating against us Chinese. It's really annoying. If she's busy, I won't Say something, but she just sat on the chair and looked at us. Don't go to this BBQ. Too bad.
The food was okay..love the atmosphere. It was what I remember in Texas but it might be done better over in Dallas. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly kids ate Mac & cheese and fries so they were happy
