So Restaurant Bar

Pros: great atmosphere, beautiful bar area and comfortable seating. Waiter was great and tried to compensate for shortcomings. Cons: Bread service was a cheap, doughy baguette from Kroger. This place is a mile from one of the best bakeries in LR. Just drive up the street and buy some decent bread y’all. I’ve had French onion soup better out of a packet. Maybe two slices of onion and two pieces of the aforementioned cheap bread did not impress, especially at $14. Pretty sure it was microwaved. Then I *tried* to order an entree. Roast-we’re out (new menu and the chef, who was off that night, had not taught the sous chef how to make it two weeks into the new menu service). Gnocchi-out of it. Tried one other thing I forgot, they were out of that too b/c again, chef hadn’t taught kitchen to make the carrot side that goes with it. So I tried to make a meal of appetizers-how about calamari? Out of it. Oysters-out of them. I gave up and grabbed something on the way home. This isn’t fine dinin

They were short handed on Mother'd Day. Waiter was very nice and worked hard to make us happy, but probably overworked due to the staffing issue. I think he is normally a bartender. Food was OK not great for the price paid - Steak was a little bland. There were other discrepancies that we can overlook given the staffing issue, but now reviewing my Credit card statement, I was charged 2x. Update: Vendor resolved the double charge issue so raised review from 2 to 4. Will consider trying again in the future.

Wow! I loved So Restaurant. The food and service we're amazing. Our waiter was on point and very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine list was very extensive and had a great selections to choose from. I loved our food and appetizer. I definitely recommend this place and I'm definitely coming back. Thank you very much. What a classy little place.
