We visited on a Friday night. We were excited for some great seafood. We had mussels and crab cakes as our appetizer. Both were good, the mussels were delicious with a delicious broth. We ordered an extra crab cake but it didn’t come out, so had to be sent later. The whole lobster looked amazing and included corn, sausage and potatoes as a part of the boil. The lobster tail was tough and nearly inedible. But the legs were very tasty. Stuffed salmon was delicious! And so was the shrimp and grits. The main issue was service. Jessica also had a high roller table next to us so most of her focus was with them. She even had a shot with them while we were there. She didn’t check back on drinks and only only checked with us one time after the food arrived. We waited a long time after we were done eating before she finally stopped to see if we wanted dessert, but we just wanted our check. By this time the restaurant was clearing out but the table next to us was still there. It took a very lo
Saturday lunch. We arrived just before the lunch rush hit. Good ambiance and service. The food was outstanding - fresh and full of flavor! The Fried Green Tomatoes were amazing; tart and delectable. The Fresno Peppers were sneaky good. A word of advice to the Minnesota pallet, remove the seeds or you will feel the afterburn a minute later. The crab cakes are light and savory. Every item we had was better than the last. Worth the visit! Save room for dessert? The key lime pie and beignets are incredibly good. The beignets travel well if you are out of room and want to enjoy later.
We went here for our anniversary dinner. The food was underwhelming to say the least. I ordered the salmon and it was under seasoned. The salmon was placed skin side down and the skin tasted metallic. The vegetables served with it were grilled cucumber?, The grilled top of a zucchini, and a top of some sort of squash. It was really strange. My husband ordered the steak but when it came out it looked like it had been cooked at low heat for a while because it was pale brown and rubbery. It was not good. He had the same vegetables. The sides we ordered for the table were the wild mushrooms and the fries which were better than our entrees. The crab cakes we ordered for appetizers were also alright. Our server was great, even though the food was meh. The decor was top notch. We sat outside on the porch and the lighting and everything was really nice.
