My wife and I honeymooned in Detroit back in 2010 (yes, we're still married) and went to Slow's for the first time on a recommendation from I can't remember where/who. Here I was, back in Detroit again so I had to stop in again. The food is fantastic. The beers were great. Our server was fantastic. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Where do I begin!!!!! Place is clean, staff is friendly. Ribs on the dryer side but that’s how I like them so to me they were perfect with their SC mustard sauce. Waffle fries with cheese excellent. Taste like real creamy cheese. Baked beans out of this world. Not to sweet just the perfect balance. Mac and Cheese my sons favorite Carrot cake first time I’ve had such a good carrot cake,moist, and Not to sweet so for me perfect, icing had a hint of cream cheese. Burger was good. Kids wouldn’t be disappointed. Chef added some lettuce for my son. This place is a little gem. Pull on the Wooden door to get in. I tried 3 different doors. ????
Good food, great service, and atmosphere. Got the big three, brisket could be juicier. Chicken and pulled pork were nice. The multitude of sauces were fun to try with everything. Waffle fries are a great compliment. Mac and cheese were good, but just personally not my favourite, others in my group loved it. Portions were big enough for leftovers.
