Slackwater

I ordered the hummus appetizer with black beans, the bread was fresh and I think same bread used in pizza crust. I got the hulk including green goddess dressing, avocados jalapenos, and wife got the California sunrise similar except with chicken and spinach no jalapenos. They are very busy, appetizer arrived same time as pizza so defeated the purpose. They have various beer options and pizzas are their specialty about 12-15 a plate. The crust seems ok it's not brick oven baked and has a commercial frozen taste texture. A brick oven produces a better crust and pizza.

Just had my haircut from The Gentlemen's Barber shop across the street and finally decided to try the new Slackwater and I'm so glad we did! Beautiful establishment awesome service and great food, and oh yeah they offer a W I D E variety of spirits. I don't know that I've seen so many beers to chose from, But absolute deliciousness and gives you the opportunity to try a few of the local beer crafts. I ordered The Diablo sticks as an appetizer and oh my God they are so delicious. I was expecting a cheese stick type appetizer But its served to you as more of a calzone cheese bread filled with cheese, pickled jalapenos and fresh jalapeno slices. The dipping sauce has a barbecue smell so it throws you off but it is also a smoky spicy marinara and it pairs well with this. Trust me, I think it Will be ordered every time I step foot in this place???? I also ordered the Iron Horse Pizza which was perfect for a single person. Fun, urban, large restaurant with a great vibe and food! I love this new location with adequate parking, outdoor seating and the food and service are better than ever. 4.5 or higher! The wings are some of the best I’ve had since I lived in Buffalo, New York! Slightly different style but so meaty and flavorful. We got the Buffalo style and the special which was Thai style. This time they had a pumpkin flavor so we got the Buffalo. Love the fresh Gorgonzola cheese crumbles on the wings and celery sticks with a generous portion of bleu cheese dressing. Arrived still warm. They marinate them overnight. Yum! I got the California pizza which is good sized for 2-3 people. I was worried about the peppered bacon being too strong but it wasn’t at all. It’s like salad on a pizza and easier to eat. Love the thinner crust and how it has just a hint of sweet. It has fresh avocado slices on it! My husband always gets the meatball sandwich and potato chips. Comes with some extra marinara on the side.
