Simply Pierogi - Polish Kitchen

This was one of those eating experiences where, upon tasting my first bite, my eyes popped open and my jaw dropped. It was SO GOOD!! And what's more is I got the vegetarian/vegan schnitzel, which was expertly cooked and breaded, tasting like the real thing. All this shock - at how good it was - came in addition to my shock at this place being located in the long-declining Eastern Hills Mall. Turns out there are so many gems there now, in place of what were big box stores. This restaurant, and the cafe and bakery, was such a treat and a great place for a casual, delicious lunch and a coffee while I squared off some afternoon work on my laptop. It's beautiful and bright inside, and does not even feel like you're in a shopping mall. Can't wait to come back for dinner at the bar!

Truly bad ???? The “potato” pancakes were bland, inedible and strangely had no trace of potato. Embarrassing to even call these overcooked dough balls “pierogis.” The salad looked ok until I realized more than half of it was rotten. I honestly feel slighted about spending $20 and receiving a half-rotten salad and soggy dough as an excuse for food. Am I being pranked??

My daughter and I definitely enjoyed this place. The traditional bowl was so good and my daughter loved her food as well. She couldn't stop talking about it and how goes it was. Pieroges are a family favorites and this place didn't disappoint. Staff was extremely friendly. 100% recommend.
