Silver Palace Restaurant

Ive always considered this the best Chinese restaurant in kendall but after last nite unfortunately it no longer is to me and I won’t be ordering from here again so disappointed. Both the special fried rice and the orange chicken with the sauce on the side were extremely dry and over cooked, I had a similar experience last time I ordered but I thought it was just a one off but now I realized they must’ve changed chefs or ownership. I give it 2 stars because the food was slightly warm at least.

This place only looks average, with the counter by the door and their pick up traffic. However, just about everything is good, especially the crispy chicken, which brings me back every time . I can smell the fried garlic just thinking about it. It's generally not pricecy and the service is quick & efficient. Its tucked inside a strip mall with parking catering to subcompact cars. Come, sit, have some Jasmine tea & listen to the cacophany of the orient. Patrons converse in various exotic dialects. Silver Palace is the real deal. Even receipts are hand written in Chinese. Get a Chinese menu for another level of taste. Theres much to be said about authenticity, majority of patrons are asians.
