Siam Orchid Thai Cuisine

This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in Salt Lake County. We’ve ordered it twice since May and both times it was not edible. The drunken noodle has a smoky, burnt flavor. I don’t know what the difference is but they’ve changed either their menu or their recipes and it’s not good. We usually like the curry puffs as well. They were burnt and did not taste good at all.

Ordered from Siam Orchid tonight using Door Dash for delivery. The masaman curry and drunken noodles had almost no flavor and both arrived ice cold. Thai food not having any flavor seems like something that would be hard to achieve, like you’d deliberately have to work to not develop flavor. The only redemption was the crab wontons which were great. The amount of noodles in the drunken noodles was very small and not worth even half of the $16 they charged for the dish. Edit: there was also a hair in the curry. A blonde hair. None of the people who live in my house are blonde.

I’ve been here twice and I have no complaints. Food is delicious. Service is excellent. The location is convenient with ample parking and the ambience is fitting. I loved the drunken noodles. I will be back. I highly recommend.
