Shorebird Restaurant

Shorebird is a great spot for a date night. The atmosphere is really nice (especially if you get a view of the marina). We ordered a couple of local drafts, margaritas, oysters, sushi and the salmon filet. Hands down the food was amazing. I’m giving this four stars because there needs to be a little bit of subjectivity when it comes to reviewing places. I had really felt that the service could have been a bit better. There was a couple sitting at a table in front of us that appeared to be receiving much better service than the rest of the patrons in the restaurant (including ourselves). When they were served their food, the server waiting for them to take a bite of each dish to ensure it was to their liking. This server was also our server. They were also checked on frequently, where at times it took some time for them to take notice and check on us or other patrons. Good drinks, food, and service. Great crab cakes and Chilean Sea Bass, spicy tuna rolls, crispy cauliflower, among other bites. Nice ambiance and view.

Treated myself to a delightful Friday supper at Shorebird Restaurant Newport Beach this evening The Shorebird Mary’s free-range rotisserie chicken, preserved Meyer lemon & asparagus risotto, shaved parmesan, heirloom cherry tomatoes, truffle butter (limited availability) and a glass of Justin Cabernet.
