Food and staff were great! I didn't take any pictures of the food bc I was starving but the humus with the side of cucumbers was so good and the chicken kabobs were very delicious also. I ordered a water to drink bc I don't drink enough of it for the most part. I'll def be returning for sure. I highly and strongly recommend this joint. ????????

Upscale Mediterranean eatery with a great atmosphere and wonderful outdoor seating! Shak's sits at the end of the main street in downtown Vista, and is positively abuzz with fun atmosphere. The outdoor seating benefits greatly from a nice breeze blowing through the area with great views of the street an d the park across the way. We got a half order of hummus to start, which was more than enough for the two of us. This came with bottomless house-made pita triangles. I had the shawarma beef combo for my main, which was beautifully seasoned and came as a bowl, pita wrap, or salad. The crisp sear on the beef really added a nice texture to compliment the spices. I got a red-eye to drink, which was tequila based with pomegranate syrup and garnished with a candied sage leaf. Once I mixed the beverage, it was quite refreshing on a hot summer day. Vegetarian options: I counted at least 6 fully vegetarian options without even trying. This seems like a great spot to get your veggie fix. Parking:

Even though it was a chilly night, we ate on a very friendly patio which was very busy - a credit to it's popularity. The food was excellent, and a visit to the table by the Owner ensured our satisfaction was complete. Very nice to have an opportunity to try the Lebanese red wine too.
