I hardly ever give 5 stars to restaurants unless they are truly worthy. Sevy's is absolutely fabulous. The restaurant is gorgeous. The food is incredible. It has amazing flavor. Everything is made fresh in the restaurant each day including the dressings and gravies. I ordered the Hickory Smoked Chicken Penne and my husband ordered Mack's Five Pepper Chicken. Each bite seemed better than the last. We ordered the peach pie with peach ice cream. The peaches come from Ham's Orchard, which is local. It was aesthetic and tasted like heaven. I will definitely return.
This has become my special birthday restaurant. Last year, it was the lamb chops and the brussels sprouts that all of our parents should’ve learned to cook because we would’ve eaten them as children! This year it was the BBQ salmon with mashed potatoes that had a sauce that hits you with a bang, but quickly dissolved, leaving you craving the next bite. The quail was perfectly seasoned with a delicious brown sauce bordering the plate that perfectly complimented the grits. Never disappointed. Can’t forget dessert.. the tiramisu is so light and flavorful, but the citrus pie is a delightful blend of fruity flavor blasts overwhelming your taste buds with a natural base of fruits so you don’t feel so guilty about indulging. Dessert was on the house for my birthday. Cannot forget to mention that my meal was delivered to me with superb service.
Overpriced bland food. I don’t mind paying money for food that is worthy of it. Sevy’s is not fine dining as much as they want to be but they are more expensive than places in Dallas that actually are and have Michelin stars to back up their quality. I had heard that the Caesar salad had won awards for its taste but it was not even close to as good as advertised. Steak was overdone and just wasn’t good and the waitress was like “sorry about that” and didn’t even attempt to take it back. The attitude that she had she is obviously part owner or in good enough with them that she feels comfortable talking to people the way she pleases. They obviously have their regular crowd that loves this place as it was busy, but for newcomers beware. It’s in an area that they will pay high prices without worrying about the quality. Hopefully you’ll be treated better than we were. If you don’t mind paying fine dining prices for mediocre food then you will like Sevy’s but if you’re going with the intent
