Seaside Oyster Bar

Had an excellent meal for a reasonable price at SOB! The vibe is flexible, with high, open ceilings, and large bay doors that open to outdoor seating. Went on Saturday night, and was still able to grab a seat very quickly with no wait. It was SUPER loud so I had difficulty hearing the waitress, who agreed she even found the atmosphere loud. Would have given 5 stars TBH but the noise level made every part of the experience uncomfortable from ordering our meal to hearing one another over our red sangrias and custom mules…. But the food was flavorful and well prepared, and much better quality oysters than other locations I’ve had locally! I got the seafood platter with two options, friend oysters and blackened grouper, and the Grouper was mouth-watering!!! I also grabbed 6 of the Rockerfella baked oysters, but could have easily made a selection from 6 different raw oyster options imported from all over the coast! What an amazing lunch date surprise! We happened upon this spot after Saturday shopping and so glad we stepped into this seaside inspired setting. Adrian our server was prompt, polite and knew just what to recommend us first timers as we scanned over the laid out menus. The place was super clean and the bathroom was spotless! This restaurant had a light and airy ambience and so much room! All the food we ordered was delicious, including the smoke fish dip, hot/lemon pepper wings, the Krakken, Crab Cake sandwich, shrimp n grits (to go because I couldn’t make up my mind) and the fried cinnamon sticks with caramel (not pictured). We also had the red sangria (get the carafe trust me ). We loved it so much and our amazing waiter Adrian who chatted with us a while and told us about the awesome owners who inspired the menu, we decided to book this place for my birthday dinner! Nice setup with indoor or covered outdoor seating. Price was reasonable. Parking was limited. Service was slightly above average. Food was solid, limited flavor. We had the fish dip, which didn't have any smoke flavor more like trout and mayo, shisiro peppers were good. Several mixed drinks all were great. Entrees we had the Platter with grouper, shrimp and oysters it was all a bit overcooked, the lobster roll was good, the chicken sandwich was good and Ole Bay hot shrimp was good.
