Scratch Kitchen & Cocktails, Paseo

Lots of restaurants either source locally or have really good tasting stuff but Scratch is one of the few restaurants in Oklahoma City that does both perfectly. They don’t just source one thing from one local farm and tout “farm to table”, they are helping change the local food system by constantly asking what else they can get locally, and the flavor and seasonality of the menu really shines through. Lotsssss of stuff is made in house (condiments, breads, pickled goods, pimento cheese!!) and you notice the quality difference not only in the ingredients but in how they are prepared. They have some good happy hour priced cocktails as well. Can’t really rate this restaurant highly enough- If you haven’t tried it, go try it. (I esp love the chicken sandwich, charcuterie board, whiskey sour and gimlet ????????????. )

Food was delicious! My sister had the chicken fried steak with potatoes and gravy. So good. I had the smash burger with fries and it was so good. Drinks were good. Stuff was a little pricey but well worth it. It was my birthday dinner.
