Scimecas Deli

Holy pepperoni! I have seen several people post and talk about this place over the past few months, and I finally got an opportunity to go down there and give it a try myself. I am talking about Scimeca’s Deli in North Kansas City. So, I make my way to the Deli counter and order up The 1935 Italian Classic Sandwich, to that I added a bag of chips and a bottle of water. On a soft white Italian bread roll they lay down some Salami, sandwich pepperoni, and hot ham and they top that with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, and Italian dressing. It is heaven in a basket! I'll just let the pictures do the talking! If you haven’t tried this place, you owe it to yourself to do so! Well Done Scimeca’s Online Retail Market and Deli! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Had an early dinner before an even and it was perfect. Extremely flexible, made a cold sandwich hot (panini) for one of us. Reuben had shaved corned beef which was excellent. Another of us had lasagna which was described as the best she'd ever had. Small variety of Italian grocery items and of course Scimecas selection of outstanding sausage, cheeses and an olive bar. A great little place with extras.

I like the fresh meat, such as sausages that are available for grab n go in the store. They also have fresh/frozen pasta. Its kind of expensive. $13 for a small container of ravioli. The deli sandwiches are ok. I wish the break was more crusty in nature.
