Schoolhouse Restaurant

Was a nice place, good atmosphere wonderful family. Food was reasonably priced family style meal. All you can eat sides. Definitely to much food for just 2 of us. My only issue was if you require a low sodium diet this is your place. I personally like my food seasoned more but they have salt and pepper on table. Fries chicken was ok hot and fresh like I said I think it needed more seasoning. Willing to go back and try something else. Very busy place corn bread was great. General store has a lot of antique stuff but the goats were worth petting and feeding

Bring a spice rack with you because the food is BLAND. The setting is very cool, I like the menu on the chalkboard and the interesting history of the property. However, I really did not care for my meatloaf. It was very dry and the gravy didn't help much, flavor wise. The sides all tasted like they were from a can. Not a speck seasoning in sight! I did like the cornbread. For the price point, I was expecting higher quality food. I feel like this was more akin to a chow hall/cafeteria than a restaurant. They were busy, so I suppose the food just wasn't to my liking. I left hungry and will not be back.

We love coming here! The food is fantastic! The crispy fried chicken is my husband's favorite and either the country fried steak or ham is my go to. The staff is always friendly like family. We'll always come back!
