One of THE best steak n cheese mushroom sandwich I’ve ever had as they had recommended among other sandwiches. The price is competitive with other local sandwich chains as well as the portions. A lot of steak and cheese, with a lot of umami flavor in every bite. I got the 10” sandwich which is around 10 bucks. Only thing is it takes a while to get the good food. I WILL be coming back.
If you have not had SAX and are from Rhode Island I highly suggest you stop what your doing . Order a sub . They are famous for the steak grinders . Pizza is a pan pizza with delicious Sauce and even better crust . Trust me . You will not be dissatisfied. Did I forget to tell you they also have merch! The best steak sandwiches ever. Sax's is an East Providence tradition and landmark, and once you've tried the food, you know why. My "go-to" sandwich shop. There are a few tables, but it's more of a take-out place. So good.
