SA SA IS SO SO GOOD!!! Came for a different sushi restaurant that is closed Wednesday. Thought I was settling for Sa Sa but wow, was I wrong! The rolls were incredible. Service was good and the ambience is exactly what I would want and expect in Japan town. I’m a big fan of Sa Sa and will definitely be back. Highly recommended. Prices are slightly high but not unexpected for good quality, tasty sushi!!!
(3.5/5) The nigiris themselves tasted great, and the service was nice and friendly. I also like that they have fish that is less common in the bay (such as Engawa in the picture.) However, the order of how they were served need more thought. At this price point, I expect the nigiris be served the right way - in the order from lightest to heaviest. In addition, my food was served before my friend’s, which made it a bit awkward for us where one person is watching the other person eat.
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. For us it was our 40th wedding anniversary. Service is very attentive. Green tea is specially brewed. Sushi menu has lots of innovations. My eel & snow ran “crunchy roll” had flakes of tempura sprinkled on top. Extraordinary!!
