Saravanaa Bhavan

I ordered Chole bhatura, it is so big and they gave me very little curry which is good enough for half of the bhatura, when I asked for extra curry they said its going to cost additional $2 which puzzled me as I don't see anywhere on their menu that its going to cost more for extra curry. I left the other half and left the restaurant half hungry. My sister ordered kottu paratha and it is not dry and its not great either, she left 3/4 of it. Either reduce the size of Bhatura or increase the quantity of curry and I am very disappointed with your service, you ended up disappointed my entire family. You gave me a reason to tell my friends that Saravana Bhavan is very over rated.

My go to South Indian vegetarian restaurant. Love their Dosas and Uthapam. On the Dosa list, my fav are their ghee masala dosa and the onion tomato Uthapam. On the rice items, nothing beats the Ghee pongal and Bisibilla bhaat for me. Delicious!! They’ve maintained the quality and taste over the years. A must try if you’re looking to venture into south Indian food. Quite reasonably priced as well.

Ordered cheese chilly Uttapam,it was below average in taste. The top was filled with uncooked cheese and hardly had 2-3 pieces of chillies in it. The rest whole thing tasted like a fat batter. Server recommended Chettinand Spicy dosa, which was good. Their tomato chutney is very tasty. Please do not order Badam Halwa. It smells very bad and tastes like some medicine. It was definitely not made from original almond and seems like some premix is used to make it. I have uploaded the picture and it resembles like AamRass(Mango juice)
