Great little place.

I wish I had written a positive review before writing this one. I love Sapphire, ive been coming here for years, friends of mine have worked here. Best quality coffee in laguna. A wagyu beef burger to die for! This place is a gem worth checking out every time! Today6/27/21 @ around 6:15, however, I went in for that quality coffee i had mentioned. The greeting I received upon entry was, "Doordash?" I wondered if something about my appearance warranted such a greeting. Upon hearing that my form of payment was limited to Samsung pay, the barista told me that Apple pay worked, but they were unwilling to try Samsung due to the risk of falsely ringing through a drink ticket. Either this barista is untrained on the pos, or maybe me and my Samsung don't fit the part here in laguna. I'll make sure to bring cash, immaculate clothing, and a pompous attitude the next time I come to this town.

I love The Pantry, Laguna Beach. I get a lavender, iced mocha, espresso, soy milk every morning. They call it the "Stusual."They also have a unique pretzel bread croissant filled with chocolate. Yum! The huge breakfast sandwich is TDF. I mentioned to the manger in conversation that my daughter has a severe gluten allergy and loves roasted potatoes. They don't have it on menu. The manager, Coty, surprised me and had the chef cook a bowl of seasoned, sliced potatoes in a separate gluten free and safe frying pan...no cross contamination. They surprised me for my daughter to try and did not charge me. Old school customer service! The chemistry of the staff is great and they call you by your first name when you walk in the door. The Pantry is a hidden treasure in Laguna Beach and so focused on making the customer feel special. Thank you!!! Huge 5 stars!
