San Shi Go Sushi & Omakase Laguna Beach

Had to give it a second chance but its still absolutely terrible sushi. Definitely not the former location. This isnt for locals but for tourists.

So horribly disappointed, we were really looking forward to coming in here for a bday. I wrote in the reservation that this was a bday. The menu selection is very limited and we asked for specific rolls which is nothing crazy we were told they couldn't do them. We were hoping for the same kind of experience from the old place but this new one is completely horrible. The only reason I didn't give this place a one star is because the sashimi was not bad, but for the price point this place is definitely not one to go to. There are so many great sushi bars around steer clear of this one. As far as the bday what ever I put in the request was completely ignored and the waitresses was acting like she was doing us a favor by bringing out some ice cream. Do your selves a favor and stay away from this place.

Great food and fantastic service. The sashimi was excellent (Sea Urchin especially), the rolls were very good and the overall atmosphere was very high end. My only minor complaint is that the road noise from outside is so loud that it disturbs conversation. Don't let that stop you from visiting though, talk loud and have an extra drink!
