San Diego Bay Restaurant

We should have left as soon as we walked in. There was a stale smell nothing like yummy food cooking. The staff was kind but weren’t knowledgeable about their own food menu when asked about suggestions or type of fish used. The fish taco and the shrimp taco were both the worst I’ve ever had. They were bland and you could not distinguish one from the other they looked and tasted the same, like store-bought frozen and fried mush. Garnishment was horrible and tasteless. My son’s red enchiladas were also bland. Everything was overpriced. Drinks on the menu were not available. Only one option for salsa. No quality in the food. I was excited to take my family to eat Mexican seafood and we all left unhappy.

First time customer today, on a recommendation from a friend. I owe my friend a meal here. Not much to look at if that matters to you, to be honest, very simple, sort of outdated, but good God, the food is memorable. I'll be thinking of that meal for weeks, if I don't return sometime this week. I recommend the shrimp, any kind. We tried a couple kinds, including the Aguachile which was incredible. I'll return for sure, to eat my way through the menu. Courteous staff, very fair prices and truly amazing food.

I've had a couple dishes from here and both were very good, Green Shrimp, and Diablo Shrimp. The salsa is great as well as the guacamole.
