Sammies Bar-B-Q

In state where BBQ is king, Sammie's is mid-range and adequate but not worth any accolades, especially for their prices ($30/person) I expected better and wasn't satisfied. Yes, they offer two sauces but the quality of the meats weren't up to par. The service was very good and the ambience is nice. They just don't make it worth settling for "adequate" in an area of other better offerings.

Thanksgiving day orders, get them in! There is nothing better than Sammy's Smoked turkey, ham and sausage for your Thanksgiving Day meal. I ordered a Turkey, a Ham and 3lbs of Sausage, to be picked up Thursday morning before 11:00am. How convenient is that? Hot and ready from his family to yours. Thanks Sam Gibbons for making this possible and being open to serve your customers!

I grew up eating at Sammie’s. It’s always been really good. It now has a new owner. The sausage, brisket and ribs are all very good. I was always a fan of the O-Rings and the chopped beef sandwich. While they are good now, they are nothing like the old Sammies. But I highly recommend eating here.
