Reviews for Salty Iguana - Independence

Our favorite Mexican restaurant. Great house margaritas! Love their beans and rice. Chips and salsa always fresh. Next time I order a pick 3 lunch I’ll ask for the flauta and taco on a separate plate. It got messy! Parking: Parking lot is always full. You may need to park around back. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Amazing Iguana mural art covering the walls. I see new scenes every time I look at them! Wheelchair accessibility: Several handicap spots at entry door.
My server was very good and knowledgeable about the foods and the drinks. The place need to update the menu for the foods by adding pictures and need drinks menu too. The foods was very great because in all Mexican restaurants I went they foods always salty but not this place. That is the reason I love to go back soon.
I rarely leave a negative review, but I must in this case. This location has really gone downhill. We ordered the chicken nachos which were smothered in soupy cheese. The salsa was pasty. We love all things Mexican, but this was bad.
