Ribs tasted good, but not a lot of meat on the bones and quite charred. Sauces on the table were very good. Pulled pork was moist and good. Popovers were undercooked and doughy inside. Service was great and food time was quick. Thanks.
This was a solid 3. Definitely better options in STL. Atmospher: +Definitely the major selling point of this restaurant. Right next to stadium. Great patio / balcony. Well lit nice clean interior. Great for the game or a business meeting. Service: + The host was great, new her stuff and gave amazing recommendations. +The server was friendly, knew his menu, gave recommendation. Food: - shocked by how small the portions were especially considering price - barbecue was not that good. Ribs were tough and I could only eat one. Brisket was very dry and lacked flavor in my opinion. / Personally, I did not care for any of their barbecue sauces Parking: Right next to the stadium. Very busy especially on game night. I did not observe any parking option. Wheelchair accessibility: Close to the street so not a long walk from drop off point. 0 step entry wheelchair/ walker accessible. Lots of seating may make for tough navigation.
Rachel and Will made my experience top notch. It was clear to me that all staff communicated and collaborated well. The team spirit was evident. This location is very close to the baseball field. You can see the stadium/stands from the balcony. There are two floors. When I entered as an individual diner I was told to try the upstairs bar for a seat to eat. I lucked out, found a spot and was introduced to the wonderful Rachel and later Will. I had the brisket and pulled pork... I preferred the pulled pork... I got the corn and Mac for side and liked both. I was later convinced to try the gooey..butter cake (?) First time trying it... it was okay. The staff put it over the top for me. As a solo diner they engaged with me as needed and I genuinely enjoyed our conversations. Rachel was fantastic at handling the upstairs bar by herself; she was personable and friendly. The support of her team was apparent and I again commend the visible teamwork.
