Salonica Restaurant

Cozy, old school-ish setting and nice family restaurant menu, but I seriously don't get the hype about this place. Our waitress barely did anything, and the restaurant only had a few tables sat -- she didn't even check how our food was once we got it (after a long wait). Our patty melt was so overcooked, it was nearly hard. And I really don't understand the prices! $30 for one patty melt and two cokes? Really? "Deluxe" on a sandwich simply means they give you fries. Super overpriced for what it is.

We had the fried shrimp, gyro plate and fried chicken dinner. We normally come for breakfast, but the dinner was not bad.

Although this restaurant is a local mainstay in the community, the food and service quality is not up to standard. After taking our order, our server returned to the table several times to confirm what we had just ordered. Each time she returned incorrectly, almost guessing at the order. "You guys had the salad, right?" "No we had soup." "Ok, you guys ordered the gyros, right?" "No we ordered burgers." Somehow, they still managed to fumble the order, and instead, they brought out what can only be described as a meatloaf with a single slice of kraft cheese on top. This was accompanied by mashed potatoes and broccoli. I was disappointed and to add insult to injury had to wait around another 10-15mins before the correct order came out. The food itself was very bland and left much to be desired. After we ate, we waited another 20mins for the server to bring the checks as she was nowhere insight. Overall, this was not a good experience in either the food and service departments, and I can't
