Salmex Restaurant

Really good blend of Salvadorean and Mexican food. Not sure how they make their beans but dang are they good. You’re welcome to try anything in their menu, but if you’re with a group of three or more, I’d like to recommend the “Botanitas”, which is a platter that mixes the best of either El Salvador, Mexico, or both. It’s the best bag for the buck after their $1 tacos on Mondays (no asada…I repeat: tacos the asada are not part of the deal, but their chicken ones are ????) and $1 pupusas on Tuesday’s. For the latter, I recommend ‘mixtas’ which come with chicharrón, beans, and cheese. They’re my favorite and these guys cook them well. Owners are very friendly and they may let you try some experimental, awesome dishes if you become a regular. They accept both cash and cards.

Stopped here for lunch. Very quick and the taste is GREAT! Recommend! I should have looked before to see how small the tacos were. Three of them had me craving more. Lol.

Food was made fresh and hot to order. They were busy so we did have to wait for a 30/45 minutes for our food once we ordered. I loved the pork Salvador tamal. Thanks for the great food!
