Sage Restaurant

My husband and i ordered the soul rolls for appetizer, our main was blackened catfish and mine was fried catfish and grits. The food was absolutely to die for .. yummy. Our waitress was very nice! It’s our first time in Memphis and we choice a great restaurant!

Today was my first day eating at Sage. There was a very long line but we did take pics outside of the wall mural. Very beautiful. The shrimp and grits were Delicious. The food was hot and the grits were like nothing I've ever tasted. Very moist and buttery. Each bite melted in my mouth. I couldn't stop eating until it was all gone. The shrimp were cooked to perfection. The stuff waffles were very tastie I only had a bite but my daughter enjoyed every bite. The chicken and waffles were not a big hit to me. The waffles were great but the chicken was hard and dry. Perhaps they cooked it a little too long. We spent about $90 but that included 4 entrees. 2 alcohol drinks and gratuity. I would go back because I had a great time and customer service was excellent.

The food was amazing and the service was great, that's the good. The bad and only reason it's 4 stars not 5 is the menu prices don't match the actual prices and the restaurant added gratuity to what should have been like a $39 check that ended up being $54 for an order I walked in the rain to pick up myself, and after looking at my recipts they don't match because of a 2.9% fee for using a credit card or debit card. Will not go again. $13 difference from what I thought it was going to be from the online menu minus the extra fees.
