Route 66 Restaurant - Lancaster PA

Route 66 restaurant, unfortunately, did not meet my satisfaction. There is a bit of a wait time which can be a hassle so if you're on a time crunch call ahead. The fries are salty the burger tastes like a shake shack and their Route 66 sauce isn't original for all that I would recommend going to a chain restaurant. Especially for the amount one will spend. All this is based on my opinion and my experience. Give it a shot if you like, but burgers, I don't think are on my list for this restaurant.

The food was solid. I myself had a double cheeseburger and fries. Nice and smashed the way I like it. Though would like just salt and pepper on my burger. They use a seasoning, but I'm not sure exactly what it is. It's not bad it's just not something for me. But that's their way of cooking with is fine. Fresh cut fries were fantastic. Lightly salted, hot, and crispy. Wife got the impossible patty. She said she wasn't hungry but she devoured it. She said it was fantastic! She's a very picky eater. She also had a milkshake which she said was also fantastic. Staff could be a bit more friendly and smile. Great spot. Would definitely return when in the area again!! Vegetarian options: Impossible burgers

Route66 is such an amazing family-owned business! They may close at times for cultural reasons, however, they always post to their Facebook and Instagram the day before! We love the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich! With the food being halal, it’s hand cut, so we never get the nasty pieces of chicken. The chicken also tastes very fresh, and with it thinly cut, it’s always cooked nice and crisp! The fries are also delicious! The mozzarella sticks are my absolute favorite! Route66 does get busy, but be patient, they’re family owned and don’t have many employees. It is SO worth the wait though. Definitely our favorite place to go!
