Roots Southern Table

A restaurant worth placing a reservation for. All food was well made and tasty. I will say that I thought the fried chicken was a bit over hyped. I would have much rather tried more entrees instead of that. But it wasn’t bad ! My gripe with is was mostly struggling with the bones when I just wanted to eat. That’s why 4/5 instead of 5/5. Drinks and desserts were delicious. The potato dumplings are a must have side! The pasta entre we got was great. We were told that the menu is seasonal so definitely going to come back to try what’s next in the rotation.

Food was delicious. Red Fish was cooked very nicely and flavor was awesome. Had the Persimmon Tiger cocktail and it was very nice as well. Duck Confit pasta was also pretty good. Will definitely need to come back and try some of the other dishes.

Absolutely loved our experience at Roots! Every single dish was incredible and the flavors were off the charts. Many people around us got the family style fried chicken but we figured that would be too much for 3 people and we wanted to try too many other things. The ONLY critique I have is that I wish the inside atmosphere was a bit “warmer” and darker - all 3 of us separately thought it could have felt a little cozier to be just perfect, but the tall white walls were making it feel a bit commercial/sterile - we still absolutely loved it and will be back!
