ROC&SOL Diner

Been here several times. Atmosphere here is always fantastic. The service has steadily improved. Brunch menu is a good mix of classic American. Lunch menu sandwiches are a little pricey but delicious. Can’t beat their happy hour prices, some of the best I have seen in midtown and I plan on being a regular.

Roc&Sol Diner is an awesome spot to hang and chill solo, with friends, or a quick pit stop for tasty food! I went during the evening and the ambiance was perfect, the service was fast and stellar, and the food came out within 10 minutes of placing my order. I'm a picky eater (partly for dietary reasons, then partly because my inner child demands it), and I liked EVERYTHING I ordered! Their soups were delicious and well balanced between taste and creativity (their soup of the day was Carrot & Ginger and was surprisingly light and tasty), the eggs Benedict plate was hearty and cooked perfectly, and the Rainier chicken sandwich was packed with flavor and filling enough to be satisfying by itself. Also, if you like fresh berries (like me, I'm obsessed), this place offers a great helping of firm and juicy berries to make a nice accompaniment to your meal. Great food! The quality of the food exceeds the venue (converted waffle house). That said, the place is always clean, cool vibe and well maintained. The service is fast and friendly always. It feels like a diner serving way better than expected food. Love the Ruben, Fish and Chips and all of the breakfasts. This place will surprise you and you will come back!
