Rock City Pie and Ice

So one extra star because we actually ate this because we were hungry and had taken the chance on it. That said, wow. Just wow. This was our very first try at Detroit style and we were very disappointed by the experience. The pizza was very obviously over cooked. Why would you serve this any customer? Definitely won't be revisiting.

Seen posts for this place on Facebook. You have to order online for pickup and now also delivery. Specializes in Detroit style pizza but has a couple other items now on the menu. Ordered a pie for pickup. Super easy process. Ready on time. Owner and operator very friendly. Learned he started operating out of his home until he was able to get this spot. Nice guy. Even through in a free Italian ice to try. Good pie. First time I have seen extra sauce and ricotta added on the side. Will be back to try other pizzas.

There’s finally legit pizza in the neighborhood! Ordered the Detroit Style pepperoni pizza and it was chef’s kiss! I love the garlicky whipped ricotta dip that comes with it. The Black Cherry Italian water ice was tasty. Will definitely be our go to pizza joint and we’re going to tell everyone about it!
