Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

It's been years since I've worked in the downtown area and was able to visit this place, and I had fond memories of the food here, so when the opportunity came to attend a party, I jumped on the chance. Unfortunately, the reality of what it is now, do not match what it used to be. For one, the place has not been refurbished in all these years - and it shows it! The floor in the bar area was sticky! We share appetizers there and while the nachos were decent, the fried pretzels were strange, we were not sure what they were and several in the party thought they were potatoes. The waiter who was looking after our party kept interrupting the flow of our event to push drinks on us. I gather that's where the money is, and he was hoping for a great tip - but it worked against him as we finally told him that we would call him! A couple of us stayed behind to have dinner - me being one of them based on my memories from before!. I was again disappointed as the interesting good items I remembered

Great space for an event! Loved our private room! Great food and service! Excited for monthly luncheons here!! Yum!

We're visiting from NC and had to try this place. First of all, drinks were delicious, and food is mouth watering. The Sonoma Flatbread sounds kind of funky but let me tell you...and absolute mouth-gasm. Our bartender Joe, even tho it was his first shift, was so awesome!! He made sure we had everything we needed, asks how we were, had small talk and a few laughs! We connected as well because he is Calabrese, like I am. He was personable and the kind of bartender you would want to be friends with. Now... the managers however....or shift leaders whatever they were that were hounding him and distracting him...now that bothered me. They were rude, their faces showed an expression of annoyance. They look flustered to have to help a fellow employee and I certainly hope that Joe is respected as a person, and as an employee. 4 people were at the bar and these managers or whatever they were, were acting as if there were 20 people. BESIDES THAT, overall a super dope vibe and great time.
