A hole-in-the-wall style Mexican restaurant. It advertises itself as "the best Honduran restaurant in Northglenn ". That might not sound like a powerful statement given that they are probably the ONLY Honduran restaurant in Northglenn. But the food was tasty enough and an excellent value that they might well be the best such restaurant in a much wider area. Portions were very generous and it was interesting to see the menu differences between Honduran and Mexican fare. The use of eggs and cabbage in many dishes is but one example. The Mexican dishes were excellent too. The chips were very fresh and locally made and came with the dinner. They were covered with salsa and cheese and were a nice surprise. We'll definitely be going back!
Wow, what a nice change! Last time I came in this space it was definitely under different management. The room was dark, grungy, and the food was only OK. Now, this place is bright, clean, and has a really unique menu for a Mexican restaurant with great staff to back it up. I LOVE the chips! The orange salsa and crumbled cojita style cheese on top was so much fun! I got a simple carnitas taco plate that was deliciously authentic. Served with radishes, onion, and cilantro with a wonderful green salsa on the side. Amazing flavor. I could have eaten 2 plates. My partner got a bean burrito that was also really tasty. We were treated to a custardy banana bread for dessert which was a lovely treat. This place is a new favorite and I can't wait to try out some new things! Will definitely come back!
We went in to have some Honduran Food with my friend and her husband. It was delicious and they were super nice to us as it was our first time! We even got to try for free some of the bbq ribs that the grandma (the chef) made as a sample dish for their future menu. She was so nice and sweet, made us feel like home with her cooking. Also, pupusas de chicharrón are bomb! Support small and family business ♥️
